The Panasonic External Electronic Viewfinder for DMC-LX7 AND DMC-GX1 is an optional viewfinder that mounts on the camera's hot shoe for a superb 1,440,000-dot equivalent color viewfinder image with all of the same information that's displayed on the LCD screen. The External Electronic Viewfinder displays 100% of the image and works in bright sunlight, an scenario that is always tough on LCD displays.
The viewfinder also tilts up 90° to make low-angle shots easier than ever. Because it mounts on the camera's hot shoe, it can't be used with a shoe-mounted flash on the camera.
